The situation
A scanned document weighs several megabytes: email rejects it, WhatsApp takes a long time to send it, and a recipient on a mobile connection struggles to open it.
The solution
Compresser reduces images to a useful resolution and removes duplicates, without touching the text.
Step by step

Drop the PDF on Compresser (or right-click → Automat-PDF → Compresser).

Choose the level: Légère (light, print quality), Moyenne (medium, the best compromise), Forte (strong, the lightest, for WhatsApp or email).

Compresser…, then Ouvrir (Open) to check.
The result. On a scanned test page, at the Forte level: 1.8 MB → 175 KB, i.e. 90% less. The gain depends on the document.
Good to know
- If the PDF is already compact, Automat-PDF says so and keeps it as it is.
